Center Time Play

Each day we have an allotted time for centers. During centers students are allowed to choose where they want to play.  Center choices include: kitchen/dramatic play, blocks, math, literacy, light table, listening center, reading center, writing center, art center, puzzles, sensory table, and more! Some may think centers are just a time for students to play, but center time really allows students to explore the materials and develop both academic skills along with social skills while interacting with peers. Some skills developed during center time include: sorting, fine motor development, creative dramatic play, learning colors, number and letter recognition, using writing utensils, shape practice, matching, exploring the senses, development of emergent reading/literacy skills, and much more!!

Take a look at some of our students at work during center time!
