Parent Teacher Conference Reminder!
Just a reminder that parent teacher conferences are tomorrow (January 31st) and next Tuesday (February 5th). If you have not already, please let me know if the time slot given to you will work for you and your family! I am looking forward to showing you your child's improvements that I have seen so far this year! We are a little more than half way through and I am very impressed with all of my students' individual improvements! :)
Winter Parties
Thanks to the room parents and other parents that helped supply the fun activities and snacks for our winter parties! The students got to eat some tasty treats, dance to Christmas music, make Christmas tree ornaments, and watch The Grinch That Stole Christmas! Unfortunately, due to snow days we had to have these parties after the holidays, but they were still a success none the less! :)
Little Elves!
Before Winter Break, the students made their own elf hats! They wrote their names on their hates and decorated them however they liked. The top of their hats had bells to add some more fun to the art activity! Not only were they fun, but they looked pretty darn cute too! :) Prior to making the hats we read the book "The Littlest Elf".

Fall Fun
Fall was full of learning about tractors, harvesting, pumpkins, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and much more! We had a lot of fun activities during the beginning of the year to help us learn about these topics.
We got to see a real combine! They even let us get in the cab!
Then we made our own tractors by using our footprints!
October was fire prevention month. A firefighter visited our preschool to show us what he wears into a fire and teach us not to be afraid of firemen if they ever come to our homes! We also learned how to call 9-1-1 and keep safe during a fire.
We made silly spider hats!! These were a lot of fun! :)
We had our first field trip to Sass Family Farms! For some of us this was our first time riding a bus! We had a lot of fun learning about farms, seeing all the animals, going on a hay ride, and playing on tractors and with other toys!
We also had Halloween parties! They were a lot of fun, thanks to the parents that helped put it together and supply the treats and fun activities! We had some great costumes!
While learning about Thanksgiving we made turkey and Pilgrim hats!
We had a busy, exciting Fall! :)

We also carved pumpkins! Later, we used the seeds for an art project!
